It is with great sadness that the family of Lucy Georgina Payne announces her passing on July 20, 2022. Lucy passed away peacefully at the Northern lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Lucy was born in Rocky Harbour, NFLD, but she grew up in Cow Head, NFLD. This is where she met her husband, Karl, and they lived a wonderful life with their children. Lucy worked in the service industry at Shallow Bay Motel in Cow Head for many years. She loved to Knit and enjoyed playing her card games. Lucy always made time for everyone; family, friends and acquaintances. She loved being around people. Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband Karl; her son Randolph; her parents Alexander & Agnes; Her brothers Clifford, Harold, Gordon, and Nathaniel; Her sister Mavis; Brother-in-laws Joseph Gaslard, Harry Woodman, and Joesph Hatcher; Sister-in-laws Marina Payne, Loretta Payne; and Son-in-law Enos Perry. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Fred), Janie (Charlie), and Gloria; Grandchildren: Shannon (Trina), Shane (Melanie), Scott (Stacey), Matthew, Travis, and Gillian; Great Grandchildren: Cody, Kyle, Kaden, Cailee, Charlee, Makenna, and Silas; Sisters: Maureen Woodman, Geraldine Gaslard, Shirley(Dennis) Gaslard; Sister-in-laws Margaret Payne and Eva Payne; Cousin Maureen Langille, and several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and support staff at Both Willow Square and the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.
