It is with profound sadness that the family of Shirlene Dobbin (nee d’Arcis), announce

her passing on March 20, 2023, at the age of 67 years. Shirlene was born on February

17, 1956, in Selkirk, Manitoba, to parents Walter and Olive d’Arcis.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters: Mariah (Ted) and Wanda (Mike);

brothers: Eric (Pam) and Arnold (Bonnie); sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Ray), Rita (Johnny),

Sharon (Wade), and Sheila (Michael); brothers-in-law: Wayne (Laurie), Cyril (Shanni),

Larry (Shelagh), and Eddie (Sherri); as well as numerous relatives, nieces, nephews

and cousins. Shirlene was predeceased by her husband Michael (Mike aaay) of many

years; sister Mae, brothers: Lionel, Harley and Ivan; and her parents Wally and Olive.

Our dearest sister was a beautiful person, inside and out. There wasn’t a mean bone in

her body and she was always kind, generous and loving. In spite of the hardship’s life

threw at her, she had an inner strength and wisdom that couldn’t be broken. Everyone

who knew her, loved her for her cheerful spirit and loving ways. She was the glue that

held the family together and always had good advice to those who asked, or she would

give it anyway!

She will be dearly missed by her special long-time friends in Riverton and all the places

she lived during her working years.

An open viewing and Celebration of Life service will be held at Robert Anderson Funeral

Services Inc. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 12:30pm (Service to begin at 2:30pm).

Interment to follow at Highview Cemetery located in Abasand of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
