It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alberto Laruga announce his passing on December 13th, 2023, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Born on December 19th, 1951, to Amancio Sr. Laruga & Isabel Loma in Manila, Philippines, Alberto was 1 of 7 children. Together with his loving wife, Renita, they raised a family of their own in Paranaque, Philippines, before migrating to Canada in 2020 to be with their now adult children.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are his loving wife, Renita; their 4 children: Renilla (Rod) Tupaz, Evangeline (Terry) Flynn, Arnel (Grace) Laruga and Ronie (Claire) Laruga; and 10 grandchildren: Emmanuel Tupaz, Izabelle and Gabriel Flynn, Nichole, Almerah, Cedric, Ethan, Keith, Kiel and Kyle Laruga; siblings: Antonio, Alejandro, Wilfredo, Amancio Jr. and Patrocinio Laruga, Pacita Cabudlay, and Anita Felipe. Alberto was predeceased by both of his parents Amancio Sr. Laruga and Isabel Loma

Eucharist Mass and viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023, from 11:00am – 3:00pm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church
