Jadwiga Sitarz

April 14, 1932 – January 29, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Jadwiga Sitarz announce her passing on January 29, 2024, at the age of 91.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Jadwiga was born on April 14th, 1932 in Brudzen, Poland, where she grew up with nine siblings. Despite being unable to start her schooling on time, due to WWII, she became a preschool teacher, a career she dearly enjoyed.

She loved all children and raised two daughters before immigrating to Canada.

She was adored by many and known as “Babcia” to all who knew her. She was as kind and generous as she was brave and fierce. Her personality, outspokenness, and kind nature will be greatly missed.
