It is with great sorrow that the family announce the passing of David Russell Wheadon, aged 65 years, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, AB. David was born in Liverpool, NS.

David resided in the community of Anzac for many years and worked at Nexen as a Millwright/Machinist until he became the recipient of a double lung transplant in 2014. After 10 healthy years, David succumbed to cancer after a short battle with his illness.

David is survived by his loving son, Benjamin Thompson, and his best canine partner in crime, Sammie; sister, Patricia (Ricky) Nauss of Mill Village, NS; brother, Kenneth Ross (Darlene Wulf) of Prince Rupert, BC, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased in this life by his parents, Harry Ross & Sylvia Wheadon, and his loving wife, Pauline Thompson.

As per his request, David did not want a funeral service and arrangements for cremation have already taken place through Robert Anderson Funeral Services Inc.
