Obituary of Laura Harris
Please share a memory of Laura to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Family and friends,
My name's Rikki-Lynne, and it is with a heavy heart that I'm writing this on behalf of my family in memory of our beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Nana, Laura Harris. I want to send my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out to myself and the rest of my family with your condolences and reminiscing on precious memories that you have had with her; providing living proof the incredible mark she made in everyone's lives.
Born January 21, 1966, Laura was only 58 years old when she left us on January 15th, 2025. She was born with an altruistic heart, always going out of her way to provide for people even when she couldn't provide for herself. She was selfless, and kind with the most boisterous belly laugh.
She moved from her home Johnstone, Scotland as a young Adult and resided in Fort McMurray, Alberta where she made a name for herself.
She leaves behind her parents, George Stevenson, Gillian Stevenson, and Heather Stevenson; children, Rikki-Lynne Stevenson, Jessie Harris, Chase Harris, Scott Harris, and Landon Harris; beloved grandkids, Liara and Miah Beleattar, and siblings, Lynne Runaghan, Dana Stevenson, Darren Stevenson, Cheryl Stevenson, Gary Stevenson, Tammy Miller, Cliff McPhee, MJ McPhee, and Candice Hughes.
We have decided to pass on doing a funeral as we wanted something that would be more "Laura". So that being said, we will be planning a celebration of life" potluck" style in Edmonton, Alberta at a Community Hall, the dates are to be determined.
