Obituary of Candace Skinner
Please share a memory of Candace to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Candace Jean Skinner, on Wednesday January 22, 2025, at the age of 41.
Candace was born on August 23, 1983, in Baie Verte, Newfoundland. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and best friend.
She leaves behind her two sons, Gage Patrick Skinner (19) and Landin William David Skinner (14), along with her devoted father, Cyril Skinner, and her loving mother, Ida Skinner (Shea). She is also survived by her sisters, Deanna Skinner (Derek Williams) and Shanna Skinner; as well as her nieces and nephews, Megan Tulk (Michael Tulk), Cheyanne McFatridge, and Leland McFatridge; great niece and nephew, Harlee Tulk and Weslee Tulk.
Candace was a nurturing and loving individual with a strong will. Her life centered around her two sons and her family, as she consistently prioritized the needs of those around her. She held her family and friends in high regard. Candace possessed a generous spirit and a love for animals; as a young woman, she aspired to become a veterinarian, often bringing home sick or injured animals to nurse them back to health and find them loving homes. She had a profound appreciation for nature, and it was her dream to one day own a small cabin by the lake to share with her two boys. Candace’s family will forever experience a significant void in their lives, accompanied by profound sadness as she will forever be missed.
