Roy Albert Cree passed away peacefully on Friday January 24, 2025, at the age of 69, in Fort McMurray after his 2-year battle with brain cancer. Roy was a son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

He was born to Victor and Mary Cree on November 14, 1955. He was their only son, giving him 6 sisters.

Roy leaves behind his children, daughter’s, Elaine Auger, Laura Cree, Ashley Cree; son’s, Shawn Cree, Jason Cree, Roy Cree Jr.; sister Doris (Lucy) Ahyasou (Dwayne Cheecham); grandchildren, nieces, nephews’ family and friends

Roy is predeceased by his parents, Victor Cree and Mary Cree (Martin) and Sisters, Mable Cree, Margret Cree, Lena Cree, Cecilia Cardinal, Joyce Cree.

A two-day wake will be held from Saturday February 1, 2025, through to Sunday February 2, 2025, at the Fort McMurray 468 Community Quonset on 140 Lakeshore Drive. There will be a Final Respects at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 3, 2025, with a Funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.
