The family of Pearl Applin is heartbroken to announce her passing on February 11, 2025, after a short journey with cancer, at the Northern Light Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Pearl leaves to mourn, her loving husband of 48 years, Chesley; son, Ricky; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; granddaughters, Taylor and Tori, who were the light of her world;  Siblings, Dorcas (Rex), Clyde (Mary), Harrison (Josie), Wilson (Cassie), Madge, Maisie (Kevin), Brenda (Ken) and Judy (Hank);  In-laws, Lenoa (Cliff), Fanny Ann (Harold), Gideon (Mary), Everett (Elaine), Myrtle (Roland); and a host of nephews and nieces.

 

Pearl was predeceased by her parents, Primus and Lucy Applin; brothers, Archibald and Kelvin; sister-in-law, Christinna (Kitty); her parents-in-law, Edgar and Rita Applin; and brothers-in-law, Myles, Dale and baby Edgar.

 

The family thanks Dr. C. Jeffries, Dr. S. Girgis, Dr. Abdelsalam, Dr. A. Duimering, Dr. Tomi, Dr. Cerny, Dinah Pilgrim, and all the nursing staff on the Medicine unit at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre for their wonderful care and compassion.  Thank you all for the wonderful work you do and the care you provide.  Please continue to be as caring and compassionate to all families as you have been to Pearl and all our family.
