Gilbert Decourcey Weekes, (born April 16, 1960, in Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines, to Maquita Cambridge and Fitzroy Gordon Weekes), a beloved figure in the Wood Buffalo Region, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and community spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Iyana Bramble-Weekes; his children: Jonathan Weekes, Richard Weekes, Joshua Weekes, Alexandra Weekes, Mackenzie Weekes, and Zion Weekes; his mother, Maquita Cambridge; and his 17 siblings.

Gilbert was a man who touched countless lives through his warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
