Obituary of Robert Raymond Cloutier
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Raymond Cloutier, who left us on March 15, 2025, at the age of 55.
Robert was a man of strength, integrity, and deep loyalty—to his family, his country, and his work. He was a former U.S. Marine Sergeant, who served his country with honor and was immensely proud of his service. After receiving an honorable discharge, he carried that same dedication into his career as a crane operator at Syncrude oil sands, where he was respected for his skill and work ethic.
Robert’s greatest joy was his family. He was the beloved son of Paulette Cloutier (née Martel) and Lucien Cloutier, and was predeceased by his father’s fiancée, Ginette. He was a devoted fiancé to Clarissa Torres, who brought him immense happiness.
He shared a strong bond with his siblings: Marc Cloutier (JoAnne), Paul Cloutier, and Julie Desjardins (Roger). He was a proud and loving uncle to Martin Cloutier (Tessa), Joel Cloutier (Courtney), Blake Krudder Cloutier, and Chanelle Cloutier, as well as a cherished great-uncle to Jaxon Cloutier.
Robert had a passion for working with his hands, and he especially treasured time spent working on his Cadillac Escalade with his father. He also found peace and joy on the water, spending countless hours boating in the Thousand Islands, a place that held special meaning for him and his family.
Those who knew him will remember his sharp wit, his unwavering loyalty, and the way he made those around him feel protected and cared for.
Robert will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Semper Fi.
