Obituary of Michael "Mike" Clyde Ryan

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael “Mike” Clyde Ryan of Fort McMurray, Alberta on April 24, 2025 at the age of 62, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mike was born August 25, 1962 to his parents, Mabel nee Sharpe and James Ryan,  in Springdale, Newfoundland.

Left to morn with much love and admiration are his spouse, Samantha Gavin and their fur babies Gracie, Brooke and Skipper. Mike leaves behind his sisters Sheila (Scott) Simms and Lisa Ryan (Dale Perrin), his in-laws, Thomas (Michele) Gavin, Michele Gavin (Allan Green), Paula (Lawrence) Traverse, Lemont Gavin, (Rajanne Comeau) Linda (Peter) Verge, and Penelope (Chad) Pleasants, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Special mention of his niece, Elaine (Roy) Bridger, and dear friends, Donny Synard, Nevin Stuckless, and Bob and Jean Motto.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Mabel (Sharpe) and James Ryan, his brothers Eric, David, Winston and Dennis, his sister Lorna and his fur baby Brady.

Cremation has taken place. Samantha would like to open their home to friends and family wanting to share stories, love and laughter, in memory of Mike on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 1 to 5 PM. Food and refreshments will be served.
