Franklin Reuben Carpenter


March 12, 1942 – September 20, 2025


It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend — Franklin Reuben Carpenter. Reuben passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.


Born in Little Catalina, Newfoundland, on March 12, 1942, Reuben was known for his boundless generosity, unwavering kindness, and the deep love he held for his family and community. He truly had a heart of gold, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.


Reuben met the love of his life, Beulah, in Toronto, where their beautiful story began. Together, they raised two daughters, Cindy and Lorie, creating a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.


He was immensely proud of his family and especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, for whom he lived for and loved unconditionally.


Reuben is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Rita Carpenter, and his beloved daughter, Lorie.


He is survived by his loving wife Beulah, daughter Cindy (Leon), sister Kathleen (Cyril), grandchildren Nicole, Amber (Murray), Josh, Taylor, and Riley, and great-grandchildren Domonic, Elijah, Luca, Brier, and Ivy.


A Wake will be held on Thursday, September 25, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Robert Anderson Funeral Services, 115, 190 MacAlpine Crescent, Fort McMurray, AB.


A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 26, at 2:00 PM at All Saints Anglican Church, 9902 Manning Avenue, Fort McMurray, AB.


Reuben gave selflessly to his community, volunteering at the Fort McMurray Soup Kitchen for over 20 years. In 2020, he was honored with the Heart of Wood Buffalo Excellence Volunteer Award, a testament to the impact he made through his compassion and service.


To honor Reuben’s memory and continue his legacy of giving, donations can be made in his name to the Fort McMurray Soup Kitchen.
