It is with great sadness that the family of Norman Combdon announces his passing on September 22, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on November 7, 1964, and originating from Pollards Point, Newfoundland, Norman made his home in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Norman leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Josephine; two loving daughters, Chelsea (Byron) Gould and Olivia (Timothy) Brake; and his treasured grandchildren, Gabriel, Gracie, Hannah, Hunter and Jackson. Each of them was a true light in his life, and Landon’s memory continues to shine brightly in their hearts. He also leaves behind a large family of brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom he held close to his heart.
He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, sister, Eileen, and grandchild, Landon. While their absence was always deeply felt, Norman carried their memory with him throughout his life.
Norm’s dedication to his work was truly admirable as a gifted carpenter he took great pride in his craft. His commitment and skill left lasting impressions on the projects he completed and, on the people, fortunate enough to work alongside him. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Norman had a lifelong passion for the woods and the water. The great outdoors was his sanctuary, and he found peace in hunting and the traditions it carried, often sharing those moments with those he loved.
Above all, Norman will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, and a grandfather whose greatest joy was found in the laughter and love of his grandchildren. His kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for family will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
His warm smile and joyful laughter will live on in the hearts of his daughters and grandchildren, cherished as a reflection of his fun-loving spirit.
A service to celebrate Norman’s life will be held at a later date. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have offered their support during this difficult time.
