With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Janesta “Nes” Lee Offrey in Fort McMurray, Alberta on September 30th, 2025. 

Janesta was born September 15, 1982 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland,  to her mother Cennith, and her grandmother Rita. 

Janesta grew up surrounded by her younger sister Jacklyn, her aunts and uncles, whom she loved like brothers and sisters, as well her mother and grandparents. She went through school at the top of every class and was an esteemed nursing student at Keyano College in Fort McMurray and CONA in Corner Brook. 

She went on to meet the love of her life, Monty in 2007. Alongside Monty, Janesta was blessed by her step children Cameron and Kristan. In 2009, she had her daughter and best friend, Erin, who she loves more than anything. Then in 2010, Janesta received “the best birthday gift ever”, her niece Hailey who was born on her birthday. She also had three grandchildren, Hunter, Spencer, and Willow-Rose whom she loved and cherished dearly. 

Besides her accomplishments, anyone who knew Janesta knew that she had an unshakeable passion for music. There weren’t very many times she wasn't singing songs or dancing. Janesta loved her music like no other.

She was known as an amorous, compassionate, and intelligent person. She was the light of every room. From her smart witted jokes, to her ability to empathize and console, there weren’t many faces she couldn't bring a smile to. Janesta was the embodiment of love, despite her inner struggles. Her deep-rooted and steadfast love for her family and friends could never, and will never be weavered. She will be forever missed by those who were close to her. Her love will forever be the best song to ever be sung.
