Christopher Lee Rose

September 20, 1976 - October 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Christopher Rose announce his sudden passing on October 3, 2025 at Fort McMurray, Alberta, at the age of 49 years.

Chris grew up in Burgeo, NL and attended High School there.  He then went on to Grenfell College in Corner Brook and to the University of New Brunswick where he completed a Bacholor of Science degree in Forestry.  For a number of years he worked in the United States before moving to work in Fort McMurray.  He will forever be missed by his family and all those who knew him!

Chris is survived by his wife Lynda, his daughter Alison, step-daughter Alissa, his parents Levi and Elsie, his sister Pamela (Dennis), niece Cheyanne, nephew Logan, loyal companion fur-buddy Flynn, mother-in-law Debbie, father-in-law Wayne (Linda), sister-in-law Sarah (Blake).   As well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Chris loved hunting and fishing.  Growing up in NL, Grandy’s Brook and Grey River were definitely his happy places especially during salmon season.  In Fort McMurray, pike and walleye became the fish species of choice for him. 

Chris was predeceased by grandparents Benjamin and Myrtle Rose, Chesley and Clara Parsons, uncles Kevin and Heber Parsons.
