It is with great sadness we announce Cornelius “Neil” Power passed away peacefully on Saturday October 4, 2025, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, in Fort McMurray, AB, surrounded by family.

Neil was well like by all who knew him. He was born in Chapel Arm, NL in 1956.  He attended school in Chapel Arm, and from a young age he worked with his dad in an auto repair garage. Later in life he went on to operate his own auto repair garage.

He eventually sold the business and moved to Fort McMurray, AB with his family. Here he worked for Syncrude Site as a process operator and scaffolder for 30 years.

Neil is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Alvina; daughter, Kendra; son, Nicholas; four grandchildren, Mckinley, Chase, Silas and Elias.
