In Loving Memory of Thelma Eunice Young
March 25, 1951 – October 24, 2025
Fort McMurray, Alberta
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thelma Eunice Young, who left us peacefully with her son Kevin by her side on October 24, 2025, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Thelma grew up in Cow Bay, Nova Scotia. She lived in Moncton New Brunswick for 10 years and moved back to Nova Scotia before settling in Alberta in 2023.
Thelma was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael Brown. She will be lovingly remembered by her eldest daughter, Michelle Bevan (Mike Bevan) and her sons, Mark Brown (Kim Brown), Adam Seager (Tabitha Thorne), and Kevin Seager (Angie Seager), as well as her adored grandchildren, Colby, Rennan, Faith, Dawson, Ethan, Alanna, and Emilee, who were her pride and joy.
Born into a large and loving family, Thelma was one of twelve amazing siblings and shared an unbreakable bond with her sisters, who were her lifelong best friends. Her sense of humor, strength and resilience will remain a cherished memory to all who knew her.
Thelma dedicated much of her life to helping others through her work in long-term care and running her own daycare. Her passion for supporting seniors and children reflected her gentle heart and unwavering work ethic. Outside of her career, Thelma loved shopping, visiting family, and animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date so that family and friends may gather to honor and remember her beautiful spirit.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local humane society or animal shelter, a cause Thelma deeply cared about.
Forever loved and never forgotten — her laughter, love, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
