Elizabeth Madelon Lott
(née Bingham)
January 21, 1935 – November 3, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Madelon Lott, lovingly known as Nana to her grandchildren and Old Nana to her great-grandchildren, on November 3, 2025, in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Born in Ontario on January 21, 1935, Elizabeth lived a life defined by love, laughter, and lifelong devotion to her family.
She was the heart of her home — a woman who put everyone else first, loved unconditionally, and gave endlessly. After raising her two daughters, she poured that same love and care into helping raise her grandchildren, a gift they will carry with them forever. Her presence filled every room with warmth, humor, and joy — often accompanied by a glass (or two) of wine and a story that made everyone smile.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gerry (2009). She leaves behind her daughters Anne Wiele (Mark) and Susan Lott; her grandchildren Whitney (Chris), Karen (Reece), Taylor (Erika), Nicole (Andre), and BJ (Nicky); and her great-grandchildren Payton, Aria, and Slone, who brought endless joy to her later years.
She will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her love was steady, patient, and unconditional — the kind of love that leaves a mark on every life it touches.
At Elizabeth’s request, there will be no service. In her memory, raise a glass, hug your family tight, and remember what she always believed: family first, always.
