Clyde Tuck Obituary

Clyde Tuck December 28, 1954 – March 21, 2026

It is with deep sadness that the family of Clyde Tuck announces his passing on March 21, 2026, at the age of 71.  Clyde will be forever remembered for his warm heart, endless patience, and the laughter he brought to everyone around him.

Born on December 28, 1954, Clyde lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and a deep love of the outdoors. For most of his working life, he was employed at a fish plant as a forklift/freezer operator— a role he carried out with characteristic dedication. When he wasn't working, you could often find him hunting, fishing, or simply trampsing through the woods, at his happiest and most at home in nature.

Clyde was predeceased by his parents, Huntley and Janette Tuck; his brothers Ernest, Winston, and Rod Tuck; his sisters Margaret (Calvin) Peddle and Debbie Smith, and brothers-in-law Allan “OJ” (Jane) Anstey, Gord Anstey, sisters-in law Emma (Spurge) Rideout, Betty Smith and Lena Peach.

He leaves behind to mourn, with fond and loving memories, his beloved wife Lucy of 44 years; his brothers Calvin (Geraldine) and Leonard (Deana), his sister Betty (Allan) Billard, his sisters-in-law Myrtle & Audrey Tuck,  Bertha (Frank) Bennett, and brothers-in-law Doug Smith, Harvey Anstey, Bob (Barb) Anstey, Tom (Maude) Anstey & Freeman Smith.  His sons Donny (Stephanie) Ash and Lewis Anstey; his daughter Doris (Terry) Clarke.  His grandchildren who all called him Pop - Trent (Laura) Clarke, Travis (Megan) Clarke, Jeremy Baynham-Anstey, Alex Anstey, Izzy & Chloe Ash. He is also survived by his cherished great-grandchildren Ava, Daniel, Lincoln and Grace.  A large number of nephews, nieces and extended family are also mourning his loss, in particular neighbours Marg, Harry, Alice and Leonard, who were always there for him.

Clyde was a loving man admired by all who knew him. His patience was unwavering, his sense of humour infectious, and his presence a gift to his family and community. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

"Gone to the woods one last time — may the trails be peaceful and the fish always biting."

"Don't look so sad, I know it's over, but life goes on, and this old world will keep on turning." — For the Good Times, Kris Kristopherson
