Wayne Everet Howard, age 70, passed away peacefully in the Westlock health Centre on May, 12th, 2026.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Kristie Cross and his son-in-law Reggie Cross; thier children, Mia and Brandon Cross; his special great grandson, Theodore Cross; his aunt Betty Duce; his cousins, Donna Bates and Lora Cronk; and Rhonda Martyn and Cathy McCrae and Dan Duce; his sister-in-law, Cindy Landgraff; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended relatives. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Howard, and his parents, Althea and Raymond. 

Wayne Howard enjoyed driving Taxis in his younger years, when he moved to Alberta, his hobby was to sing karaoke with his family and friends, he enjoyed being a dad to his daughter, a Gramps to his two grandchildren, and a Great Gramps to his great grandson. He loved spending time with friends and family at family gatherings and/or playing board games. He had a gentle, caring heart and an infectious sense of humour and always had a beautiful, contagious smile. Wayne Howard was well loved by all who knew him. He will be truly missed by all.

Wayne’s celebration of life is on June 6th, 2026, at the All Saints Anglican Church, 9902 Manning Ave, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 2B9 at 2:00 P.M. His burial will follow at Abasand cemetery, 589 Athanasca Ave, Fort McMurray, AB T9J 1H8.
