Victor Melvin Lepine

It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Melvin Lepine on June 4th, 2026, at the age of 81. Victor passed away peacefully at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, AB, surrounded by his children Charmaine, Walter and Gloria.

Born on February 22, 1945, in Camsell Portage, SK, he was a brother to 4 siblings, and went on to become a father, Uncle, Grandfather (Mushum) and Great-grandfather. Victor loved the outdoors and being on Lake Athabasca, visiting friends and spending time with loved ones.  He was a skilled fisherman, hardworking driller, and a guide to the big lakes.

Victor lived life to the fullest and loved being close to his friends and family.  He was patient, caring and always ready to tell a story or pick up a guitar to sing. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children Audrey Ladouceur, wife Brenda Lepine (Madsen); stepson Jason Madsen, stepdaughter Lisa Madsen, brother Larry Lepine, and stepsister Georgina MacDonald.

Victor is survived by his children Charmaine Schregardus-Berry, Walter Jacob Schregardus and Gloria Schregardus. His stepchildren, Rachel, Rhonda, and Laurlee. Also, by his 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Along with his sister Dorothy and Rosa, cousins, nieces and nephews, Victor had many very close friends and extended family and will be missed dearly by all.
