Glenn "Errol" Strang

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn "Errol" Strang, age 73, of Fort McMurray, Alberta on August 1, 2026.

Born on January 12, 1953, in O'Leary, Prince Edward Island, Errol was the son of the late Ross and Edith (MacWilliams) Strang. He built his life around hard work, family, and friends. Throughout his career, he worked as a bus driver, truck driver, and snowplow operator, earning a reputation as an exceptional driver. He believed in the value of an honest day's work and found purpose in keeping busy.

Outside of work, it was the simple things that brought him the greatest joy. He loved old gospel hymns and treasured memories of gathering around the family organ while singing with those he loved. He never turned down a strong cup of hot tea, something sweet to go with it and a visit with family and friends.

Errol is lovingly remembered by his wife, Michelle Mariano of Fort McMurray, Alberta; his daughter, Melissa (TJ) Gagne of Foothills, Alberta; his son, John-Ross (Kendra) Strang of Mill River, Prince Edward Island; along with his cherished grandchildren, Tatum, Penelope, Milo, and Elsie.

He is also survived by his sister, Frances Wallace and his brother, Ian Strang, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends, whose lives he touched over the years.

Beside his parents, Errol was predeceased by his brothers George Strang, Vernon Strang, Herb Strang, John Strang, Charles Strang, Donald Strang and Benjamin Strang; also by his sisters Doris Mincie, Eva Gamble, Freda MacDougall, and Florence Carbajal.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who has reached out with their kindness, prayers, and support.
