With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of “Robbie” Robert Fitzpatrick on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, at the age of 65 in ICU, Fort McMurray Regional Hospital with his Wife, Judy, daughter, Sarah and his sisters, Diane and Sharon at his side.

Robbie’s driving force was the love for his family.  He cherished every moment spent with Judy, Sarah and the light of his life his granddaughter Aubrey.  He loved to walk the trails with Mocha. He was the happiest, kind-hearted and devoted person. Whoever had the opportunity to spend time with him knew that Robbie lit up the room as soon as he stepped in. He also loves the Toronto blue jays! 

He was a very dedicated to his job working long hours and making friends along the way!  He always looked forward to Tuesday evenings to meet up with his pool team buddies.  He will certainly be missed at the Tim Horton table by his friends. He had a wonderful zest for life, leaving a memorable mark on everyone he met. 

Leaving to mourn his wife of 32 years, Judy Fitzpatrick nee: Buckle; daughter, Sarah Fitzpatrick (Cody Black); precious granddaughter, Aubrey Black, and granddog, Mocha. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Wally (Bev), Diane Beck (Tom), Joe, Sharon Giles (Bobby), as well as her sister-in-law, Linda Fitzpatrick.

His great sense of humour lives on in his twenty nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and great-nephews. A special thank you to nephew, Rodney for all his help; sisters in law, Mary Martin (Tony), Betty Fifield (Bill), Sandra Parsons (Gary), Esther Landry (Roland), Paula Whyatt (Todd); brother in Law, Jimmy Buckle (Sonya - Deceased).

He is now reunited with his parents, Sadie and Jack Fitzpatrick; his brother, Wayne Fitzpatrick, and sister, Josephine Bennett.

He is predeceased by his mother and father in law, Jean and Kevin Buckle and brother in law, Bill Buckle.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the phenomenal and compassionate staff in ICU department, Fort McMurray Regional Hospital for all their care and support.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation is taking place. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the SPCA (reflecting Robbie’s love for animals) or a charity of one’s choice.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
