Words can't begin to explain how shocked and saddened I was to hear of Leslie's passing. Although it's been many years since we've connected her drive, dedication to friends and family and love for life were unbelievable. She was taken way too soon and no doubt will leave a gap for so many but also a legacy. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Brian, Grace, Hannah, and Leslie's extended family.
I am sending my sincere condolences. I worked with Leslie from 2007 – 2019. She was a mentor to so many including me. I've always appreciated her guidance, feedback, and sense of humour! I have so many wonderful memories of Leslie from ON-tario and am thankful that I had the pleasure of working with her for so many years. I spent many lunch breaks in the lunchroom with Leslie, and she always had so many wonderful, often funny stories and spoke very lovingly of her family, especially Brian, the girls, and pets. Sending prayers and strength to Leslie's family as I know it is a devastating loss, may your many memories provide you comfort during this time.

Brian, Grace, Hannah and extended family
I cannot believe I am writing a condolence for my special friend Leslie. My heart is broken. I hoped we would visit when she moved back to Ontario after retirement. I met Leslie when she started work at the RMWB back in 2006. Leslie won our hearts (Barbara and I) in her interview and our bond grew from that day forward. Leslie dearly loved her family as well as her dogs and cats. We travelled across Canada to many recruiting events and those trips leave me with special memories that will last forever. Leslie was a special person and I had the opportunity to see how she impacted the lives of others. Leslie was a protector, a mentor, and a fighter. She cared about everyone! Most people who came to Fort McMurray at that time did not have a lot of family and our work team became our extended family. We shared happy times and sad times always supporting each other.
Brian, Grace and Hannah my heart goes out to all of you. Leslie was a truly special person who left her mark on all of those lucky enough to call her a friend.
Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Brian, Grace and Hannah.
We send heartfelt thoughts to you at such a sudden passing of the lovely Leslie. She was such a fun and fantastic ambassador of all things Canadian and really loved her family so much.
On our trip, she led us on inflatables down the river, climbing, kayaking, ice hockey wearing huge Canadian t shirts she suddenly bought to watch the game. From the wilds of Fort McMurray, to the crazy water slides at Edmonton and on to the luge at Calgary.
The photos are at Lake Louise on a beautiful day in 2018. Time to pause for Brian and Leslie. Thank you for taking us on a trip of a lifetime. You always made everything so fun, so positive. No wonder Lucy always tried to sit next to Leslie. That's her next to Leslie on the cable car.
Dreams came true on that trip, but dreams now shattered we won't see Leslie again and she won't have chance to be the very fun, treat filled Grandma she would no doubt have been.
We really loved Leslie.

I am shocked & devastated to hear of Leslie’s passing. I had the pleasure of working for her at the rmwb. She was a leader, mentor & wonderful friend who helped me through some very difficult times. I know she loved you beyond words. Her family was her world. My heart breaks for you. She will be dearly missed.
