So very saddened to learn of Hilda's passing. Hilda was a wonderful person, her determination and strength were evident in all that she did. She was always willing to dig in, volunteer and help out in any way she could. It always amazed me the energy that she possessed...raising three beautiful daughters, working, playing sports and volunteering her time. Hilda was a wonderful teammate back in our ringette days. A number of years back she was an extremely welcome addition to our ladies ringette team. There were many good times enjoyed playing tournaments and provincials. Hilda was a committed team member and brought out the best in the Fort McMurray Wild ladies ringette team.
My thoughts and prayers are with Michela, Arin, Sasha and all of Hilda's family.

I knew Hilda’s Mom, Rina, more than I knew Hilda. Looking at Hilda’s picture and reading the many memories that were shared I see the deep resemblance to a young Rina. Like mother; like daughter. Rina shared with me how much she always cherished the times she spent with Hilda and her girls.
I knew Hilda as a patient more than outside the hospital and she portrayed the deepest stamina and strength even when she was fighting her biggest health battles. She was a true example of the perfect patient; trying to put others first and not feel like she was demanding too much for herself.She was a true example of unconditional love and selflessness. Many times she’d hide her true pain and try to speak cheerfully and be positive. She exemplified the true spirit of a fighter and I believe she fought a good fight and finished her race with flying colours. Her parents and family can hold their heads high with pride and thank God for the wonderful gift of love and beauty that they were honoured to receive in the person of Hilda. She is now safe in Gods arms and He will take perfect care of her until we all meet her again in Heaven.
Hilda’s heritage will live on in her family and those who were blessed to know her well. Dawson and I want to share our deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers for all of Hilda’s family. Rina and Rocky, we can only imagine the broken hearts you have in having your only daughter go on to heaven before you. Trust God for strength snd peace through this storm of grief. Jesus said, “He is with you every moment of the day through this journey and He will never leave or forsake you!” Rest in God’s arms! Winona and Dawson

Hilda has always been such a strong and beautiful soul ever since I knew her while growing up in Fort McMurray. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the entire Peters family and friends during this difficult time. A warrior she was, She fought the good fight, her courage was remarkable,
