Obituary of Brandy Elsie Ann Simon

Please share a memory of Brandy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Taken from us too soon, on January 23, 2022. Brandy was born December 21, 2005, in Fort McMurray, to the Mikisew Cree First Nation. A beautiful soul, survived by her Mother; Trista Simon, Father; Trevor Simon, and her 4 sisters; Harley, Cheyanne, Cecilia, Cally Simon, as well as countless other family members. From the day she was born, she brought light and joy to everyone, with her beautiful smile and laugh. Despite her short time with us, every moment was filled with family and friends doing the things she loved the most. She played the piano with her sisters, swam as often as she could, loved camping, dirt biking, and side-by-side trips through the mud during the summers. In the winter, she was often found on the hill with her friends, snowboarding or skiing. She shared her creative mind and individuality with us through her drawings, paintings, music, and dancing with her friends and sisters; there are many videos to prove it. She loved everything to do with fashion and clothing, and would always be the first to advise you on what you needed to do to make you a better you. She was able to live beyond her own little world and traveled to Disneyland and Mexico with her family. This time and experience allowed her to bond with her sisters on a level that not all families get to experience. She excelled at her first job with the market garden in Wandering River, which didn’t surprise anyone because she was as determined and dedicated as her mother. Shortly after that, she was proud to be hired as a lifeguard with the Mac Island Aquatic Center. She was over the moon about the freedom that she was about to gain on Friday after her driver's test. She was excited to cruise the road in her new green machine that her dad had fixed up for her. When we think of Brandy, we remember her love for friends, family, and animals; particularly Mercedes. We think of her beautiful smile, sassy attitude, stubborn streak, and funny disposition. She had a love for food and culture and a connection to the social media world that would be rivaled by many. Brandy. You are one of a kind. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure Taken too soon Sixteen Forever Brandy Simon A procession will begin at the Robert Anderson Funeral Home (#115, 190 MacAlpine Crescent) in Gregoire at 1:30pm, January 31st.
