To Brian’s family. I just heard the terrible news from a mutual friend. I am devastated to hear of Brian’s passing. He was a great shipmate and we spent many hours in the Boiler Room onboard HMCS OTTAWA. I’ve included a picture I have of Brian and a few of his many friends. I am so proud to be able to call Brian “Shipmate”

Dearest Gina, Taryn and the LeDrew Families,
I was heartbroken to hear of Brian's death. I was fortunate to not only be his friend in school, but to spend so much time together when he was in the Navy and I was at university in Halifax. He was truly my best friend for those years! So kind and caring, always laughing and carrying on. The memories bring smiles and tears.
I was so happy to hear when he found happiness with you Gina and I can only imagine the joy and love when Taryn joined your family. Even though I have not seen either of you for a long time, I have no doubt that you two are his greatest joy.

I had the honour and pleasure of teaching Brian in elementary school. Even at a young age his intelligence, sense of humour, and his kind and gentle manner made him stand out. His smile could melt any heart! The news of his passing came as a great shock and it is difficult to believe, even now, that this has happened. In my mind, I still see his shy grin whenever he was complimented. And I mourn with all of you, his family and friends, who knew and loved him better than anyone else. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, and may the God of all comfort be with you at this time.

Aunt Betty, uncle Nelson, Jerome, Shawn, Cindy,Bobby, Gina,Taryn and families,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this sad time. Words can’t do justice to how sad I was to hear of Brian’s passing. I know how heartbroken you all are at this time. I have a lot of fond memories of Bri that I will forever hold dear in my heart. A precious part of our family has been lost but his memories will live on forever. Although Bri is gone to his heavenly home, just know the love he instilled in your heart will never diminish. We are never ready for a lost but can find strength from god for one day at a time.
Sorry we cannot be with you all at this sad time as you say goodbye to a very special man.
