Obituary of Delia (Dee) Margaret Brown

It is with great sadness that the family of Delia Margaret Brown of Fort McMurray, Alberta, announces her passing at the age of 73, on July 25, 2022 at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre. Delia was a daughter to Arthur and Irene Brown, and was born and raised in Hopewell, Nova Scotia. In 1970, Dee began school to become a hairstylist. She met the love of her life, Abraham Webber, in 1975, and moved to Happy Valley, Goose Bay the following year. She spent most of her summers in Spotted Island and Nova Scotia. Over the years, Dee was involved in many organizations including: Ladies Auxiliary, Executive of Ladies’ Darts and Lionesses, as well as The Legion. In 2013 after the passing of Abe, she moved to Fort McMurray to live with her son Wilson and granddaughter Clare. While in Fort McMurray, Dee enjoyed card games with friends, Tuesday night radio bingo, and driving her granddaughter to and from school; which was one of her favourite things to do. Since moving to Fort McMurray, she would vacation in Nova Scotia to see family, and Florida with her very close friend Millie Terpstra. Delia is survived by son Wilson, granddaughter Clare, and family dog B.B., brother Wilson (Donna) Brown, Delbert (Lois) Brown, Sisters Loretta (Joe) Landry, Joyce (Jim) Langille, Debbie Brown, and Evelyn Brown. Her extended family Beverley (Ernie) Hughes, Rick (Irene) Webber, Don (Edna) Webber, Frank (Bunny) Webber, Ray (Yvonne) Webber, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Irene Brown, husband Abraham Webber, sister Winnifred Bell, brother Arthur (Bud) Brown, and step-son Clyde Webber. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, at the All Saints Anglican Church, Fort McMurray, Alberta, at 1:00pm. The family graciously accepts donations or flowers in Dee's memory. Flowers can be sent to the All Saints Anglican Church, 9902 Manning Avenue, Fort McMurray, Alberta.
