Obituary of Chad Carroll

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, partner, and daddy, Chad, on January 5th, 2023, at the age of 39. Chad was the son of Sharon (McInnis) Carroll and the late Brian Carroll. Originally from Scotch Lake, Chad was a brother to Travis, Fort McMurray, Troy (Crystal) of North Sydney, Renee (Dana) of North Sydney, and Ryan (Tracy) of British Columbia. Uncle Chad will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Preston, Talia, and Hannah, Bryleigh and Mason, Carson and Channing, and great-niece Lynkin.

Chad is survived by his partner Melissa O’Donnell, his son, Jaxon, and his stepson, Cole. Chad was also loved by Da’s partner, Nicole; her daughters Patricia (son Daniel) and Victoria; Mom’s partner, Randy; Melissa’s father, Robert; and sister Robyn (Mike). Chad was loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Sandy, Vanessa, Miranda, Patricia, and Jonathan McInnis.

Chad loved playing baseball. He loved to have a laugh and joke around. His laugh was just like our fathers; contagious and infectious. He had a big heart, a big smile, and big brown eyes. Chad left Cape Breton and lived in Ontario and Alberta, settling in Fort McMurray for the last 19 years, working with Local 92, OE 955 and most recently with Kichton.

Standing beside Da and Melissa’s mother, Heather, waiting with open arms for Chad were our grandparents, Bert and Christena Carroll, Jean and Alex McInnis; Uncles, Robert McInnis and Billy Greer; Aunt, Mary McInnis; Cousins, Melvina and Kyle McInnis, Kyle McKown, Allen Carroll and his good buddies, Jackie and Zach LeRoy, Ryan Gillis, and James MacTaggart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 7th, 2023, beginning at 5:00pm.
