It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Hugh Connery, age 73, of Fort McMurray, Alberta. He left this world on August 23, 2023, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, AB.

Dave is survived by his daughter and son in-law: Kerri-Lynn and Calvin Reaburn, of Okotoks, Alberta; his grandchildren: Raya Reaburn of Fort McMurray, Colin Reaburn of Calgary, Sierra Reaburn of Calgary and Linda Connery and their dog Chevy of Edmonton, Alberta. Welcoming Dave on the other side is his son Blaine David Connery, and his parents Rolla and Harold Topp, who predeceased him.

Dave, fondly known as dad, grandpa and best friend, will always be remembered first as a doting father, grandfather and best friend. He will always be remembered for his love of his Harley, Sports (specifically the Edmonton Oilers, Miami Dolphins/Dan Marino, and Edmonton Eskimos), Old classic cars, travelling to Thailand, and music.

When we hear the loud pipes of a Harley or the loud music blaring from the Old Classic car next to us at a stop light, or the loud cheers during an Oilers Playoff game, we will be reminded that he is celebrating with us. He will always love us without judgement.

To honor Dave's memory, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life in Fort McMurray and Edmonton at a later date.
