Obituary of William Takaro
It is with heavy hearts that the family of William (Billy-Joe) Takaro announce his passing. A beloved father, Mushum, brother, uncle and friend. Born on June 25, 1947, in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta, Billy-Joe’s journey through life touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Billy-Joe’s greatest source of joy and purpose was his family, which he loved with an unparalleled devotion. His compassionate heart knew no bounds, and he gave the world through his untiring love and care. Billy-Joe cherished spending time sitting around laughing and joking with his family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to make you feel safe and accepted, a rare gift that endeared him to all who crossed his path.
His presence was like a beacon of light, brightening any room he entered. With an abundance of charm and charisma, he had an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He was a mentor and coach, leaving a positive impact on those he guided.
As an entrepreneur, Billy-Joe blazed a trail leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. His dedication and hard work led to a fulfilling career, and he retired as the General Manger of Tuc’s Contracting.
Billy-Joe is survived by his sons: Richard (Kim) Takaro and Joshua Nelson; daughter: Lisa (Chris) Golosky; sister: Patsy (Gilbert) Tuccaro; his five grandchildren: Nitanis, Billie, Riel, Cole and Skylar, who were the light of his life; one great-grandchild: Anika, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and countless cousins who will all miss him dearly.
After the graveside interment has concluded, the family would like to extend an invitation for everyone to join them for some fellowship time together with a light luncheon at the All Nations Church for 2:00pm.
