Brenda Ann Dubé Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Brenda Dubé, at the age of 72, on October 26, 2023, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Brenda was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, on January 31, 1951. She spent her younger years in Moncton working as a secretary. Later in life she lived in Murray corner, working at Westmoreland fisheries where she devoted 33 years of her life, leaving an indelible mark on the workplace and earning the respect of colleagues. She then retired in 2016 at the age of 65.

Following retirement, she and her loving husband, Andrew, traveled to Fort McMurray to visit their son, Micheal and his wife, Jenny. After their initial visit the couple decided to move to Fort McMurray in the fall of 2016 where they would live out the rest of their lives. While living in Fort McMurray they welcomed their granddaughter Jillian in 2018.

Brenda is predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Lieta Allen; husband, Andrew Dubé; and siblings: Freddy Allen and Joan Allen.

She is survived by her sons, Micheal (Jenny) Dubé, and Matthew (Jennifer) Dubé; brother, Norman Allen; granddaughters: Abigail, Sophia, Mikayla, Mattea, and Jillian.

Known for her fondness for the color yellow and the grace of butterflies, Brenda was a no BS woman with a soft heart. Her love extended beyond family, with a love of pets, be they cats, dogs, or fish.

In celebrating Brenda's life, let us remember her vibrant spirit, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend.

You will be deeply missed, love you forever.
