My deepest sympathy to my dear friend Nita and her family. I remember many times when Delilah came into Zellers to see her Mom. She always had a mischievous smile and sparkle in her eyes. Always brought a smile to your life and grew up to be a special lady. Taken from her family way too young. May all your memories bring you a little peace. Praying that the family finds strength and peace. I have such good memories of Delilah, growing up in the same neighborhood and going to school together for years. She was sharp witted and had a contagious laugh. I don’t have to tell her family what a great big heart she had.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Delilah for 11 nearly 12 years, while that's only a chaper in the book of life, it's been a huge blessing in so many ways. Not only was she a boss to me at points in my life, but also a friend and a second mother. She's always welcomed me in, fed me and made me feel validation when I didn't feel it myself. She's always been there to vent to and give me shit when she needed to. Always kept it real ♡ I love you so much Momma Bear and I miss you dearly♡ I know you're with us and keeping an eye on all your loved ones, thank you for everything you were and all you ever did!

Delilah and Bob set papa Joe Zakevicius and myself up in a blind date to Courtenay fish and game banquet. I was too timid so I insisted they join me on this adventure. Turn out Joe and I married and it was like the kids picked their own Papa Thanks Delilah for all my fond memories of our family fun but most of all for the beautiful gift of my granddaughter Cassidy I shall forever remember you with love in my heart mom Dee

All are welcome to attend and share stories and memories of Mom. As we all know a typical funeral is not something she would want so I’m asking that you don’t wear black. Tie dye, floral, colourful are all welcome, just not black. Sandwiches, popcorn, coffee and tea will be served.
