CeCe, Helen and Families,
I met Paul in grade seven in Holyrood and became great friends from the very first day. We played softball together and we all hung out at Phonse Dunphy's little snack bar playing the same few songs over and over. Paul's dad Bill drove us to our games and his mom Bess was always so nice to us and even more so when we grew up and had dinner and dances at the Legion.
Paul left for Alberta as a young man but almost every time when we would both be home in Holyrood we would get together.
The last few times we met at the Squidfest of at an informal reunion where we invited an old ex-priest to a dinner.
Paul was such a sincere boy and man. He and all his brothers and sisters were so much fun to be around. I loved spending time with Jerry and still talk of him fondly. I also worked with his dad at Ultramar for many years and spent so many nights having a smoke and reminiscing about our softball days.
Paul was a genuine friend and will be missed by all who had the privilege of having him for a buddy. My wife Lynn and I offer you our most sincere condolences.
Rest in peace Paul, you were the very best.

Cece & family/Helen & family,
I'm so saddened to hear of Paul's passing. Sending condolences and deepest sympathy to you all at this very difficult time.
l didn't know Paul when we grew up in Holyrood but was fortunate to meet him, and you, Cece, when my family (Sandra & Frank Walsh) moved to Edmonton so many years ago.
I could tell from meeting him then that he was a kind and 'gentle' man who cared deeply, and I'm sure he continued with those traits all his life. You must have such awesome memories of him, and I'm sure they'll bring you comfort through the years.
May his gentle soul rest in peace, and may he fly high with the angels. God bless you all.

I will never forget the open arms that Cec and Paul gave my family during the fire in 2016. They took in about 15 of us from Fort Mac, just because. Fed us, helped us talk and let us cry. I remember sitting on the porch chatting with Paul, and with everything going on, he made it an easy conversation. I’ll never forget it.
Rest easy Paul.
My thoughts are with you Cec, Phil, and the entire family.

So sad to hear this. Paul was a gentleman. Full of stories you couldn’t stop hearing enough of. Devoted to family and friends and always there for everyone.
He battled illnesses like a warrior. And went to the next stage quietly and peacefully.
It was an honour to know him.
Condolences to Cece and the family ❤️
