It is with heaviest and saddest hearts we share the passing of Joan Alice White on February 23rd, 2024.

Joan was born in Marystown, NL to Edward and Clara Hynes on March 08, 1967.

She was the light that we all needed in this world. Everyone will remember the joy she brought everyone, and her positivity that everyone admired.

Joan will be forever missed by her loving husband, Lorne; her cherished daughter, Cheyenne (Doug McClain) and of course her greatest joy, her granddaughter, Frankie Jane; her mother, Clara Hynes; brothers, Edward Hynes and Thomas Hynes; sisters, Inez Brown and Clara Vatcher; as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, who she cherished.

She is predeceased by her father, Edward Hynes; brother, John Hynes; father-in-law, Norman White; mother-in-law Sarah White, and brother-in-law, Barry White.

A celebration of life was held on February 29th, 2024 in Fort McMurray AB. Another gathering will be held in Newfoundland at a later date.
