Please share a memory of Darlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Darlene Beverly (Babydoll) Courtoreille, of Fort Chipewyan, at the age of 61, on March 16, 2024, in Fort McMurray, AB.

Darlene (Babydoll) was born in Fort Chipewyan on September 24, 1962, to Mary Courtoreille and William Courtoreille.

Babydoll loved her community of Fort Chipewyan, it's where her and her partner Desmond did everything together. They enjoyed hunting, camping trips to the cabin, berry picking, outdoor camping, and fishing. We, of course, can’t forget her online games as well. Mamma enjoyed her online slots, but most of all spending her days with her family most importantly her grandchildren, they were her babies.

Darlene was survived by her loving spouse of 44 years, Desmond Flett of Fort Chipewyan; children, Daphne (Nathan), Dezarae (Jonathan), DJ (Kristen), Dana, Dalton (Autumn), B.J. and 9 beautiful grandchildren, as well as her brothers and sisters, Vina, William (veronica), Elvin, Peter (Jennifer), Sandra (bob), Diane, Lloyd "Nanny" (Audrey), Crystal and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Courtoreille; father, William (Willie) Courtoreille; sisters, Linda Courtoreille, Ruby Courtoeille; nephew, Melvin Courtoreille and niece, Shancee.
