It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Edna Mercredi of Fort McKay on May 8, 2024 at the age of 56.

Irene leaves behind her, daughter, Dawn Mercredi (William); son, Steven Auger; grandchild, Royal Elsie Lacorde; brother, Robert Ahyasou; best friend, Jason “chunk” Gladue; as well as numerous siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, extended family and friends.

Irene is reunited with her parents, Billy & Elsie Rolland; sister; Doreen Ahyasou and Nephew Bill Rolland; and grandparents, Sammy & Veronique Rolland and William & Alice Ahyasou.

Refreshments and a meal to be followed by the interment. ‘Special Thank You’ from the family of Irene Mercredi for the gracious outpouring love, support, encouragement, contributions, volunteers, attendees and those that travelled the distance.
