Gabe Dalley Obituary

It is with great pain and sorrow that we announce the passing of Gabe Dalley on July 8, 2024, at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton Alberta.

Gabe was born on the 20th of June 1989 to Bruce and Sheila Dalley in St. John’s Newfoundland. He lived in Embree Newfoundland until he moved with his family to Fort McMurray Alberta in 2005.

While in Fort McMurray Gabe worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for with various companies. In the last 12 years of his career, he worked at Shell Albain and CNRL. He was a hard worker, dedicated to his job but even more so to his family.

Gabe cherished and adored his daughter, Blayke, with all his heart. He lived for her. He was a doting husband to his wife, the love of his life, Krissy. He was a devoted son, loving brother and uncle.

He, his father and brother Jay often enjoyed winter adventures with their sleds. He loved being outside, if not on a sled, on the lake boating, fishing, or just in nature with his daughter. He and Blayke used to go “explore nature” together at their family campground. If he was not outdoors adventuring, you could often find Gabe curled up with a good book. Typically, a nonfiction novel about a historic battle or event, or a James Patterson thriller.

Gabe was a lovable “Teddy Bear”, he had a heart of gold and a generous soul. An intelligent man and animal lover who lived for his family and friends. He will be forever missed.

Left to mourn Gabe, his loving wife, Christina Dalley of Fort McMurray, AB; his precious 5-year-old daughter, Blayke Dalley of Fort McMurray, AB; parents, Bruce and Sheila Dalley of Fort McMurray, AB; brother, Jay (Megan) Dalley of Fort McMurray, AB; nephew, Theo Dalley of Fort McMurray, AB; in-laws, Guisse and Maria MacPhail of Whycocomagh, NS; brother-in-law, Cory MacPhail of Fort McMurray, AB; aunts, Roxanne (Sterling) Twyne of Lewisport, NL, Glenda (Calvin) Sparks of Embree, NL, Cathy (Dale) Foss of Embree, NL; uncle, Terry Foss of Mount Pearl, NL; as well as numerous cousins and a large circle friends and extended family members.
