Janet Fizzell Obituary
It is with immeasurable sadness and grief that I must announce the passing of my mother, Janet Lorene Fizzell (nee Mattern) in Fort McMurray, Alberta, on September 3rd, 2024, at the age of 68 years.
Janet was born in Ponoka, Alberta to Mervin and Anne Mattern (nee Blanchette) on January 6th, 1956. She spent her career working as a social worker, trying to improve the lives of others.
She is survived by her Children: Ryan (Darlene) and Eric (Paige) Fizzell; Mother, Anne Mattern (nee Blanchette); Siblings: Ken Mattern (Jan) and Sandy Mattern; Grandchildren: Riley, Aimee, Errol, Sybil and Cormac Fizzell. Janet was predeceased by her Father, Mervin Mattern.
