It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Patrick Joseph Delany. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Patrick is survived by his treasured and devoted wife, Barbara; his cherished daughters, Meghan, Mandy, and Fallon; he was a proud and loving grandfather to Jaysie, Madison, and Tyson, who brought him endless joy; he will be deeply missed by his sister, Colleen (Dave): nephew, Brodie, and all his friends who knew and loved him.

Patrick was predeceased by his brother, Kevin; and his parents, Joe and Markie, with whom he is now reunited in peace.

A passionate golfer and lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens, Patrick found great happiness in the camaraderie of sports, whether on the greens or watching his favourite hockey team play. His love for the game was rivalled only by his love for his family, who were the center of his world.

Patrick will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laugh, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched, and he will forever remain in our hearts.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3 Hospital Dr, Fort McMurray, AB, on Thursday, October 17 at 2:00 pm followed by a celebration of his life. Attendees are welcome to come in their favourite hockey jersey.
