Q: How did you meet James?
A: Its been multiple years since I have first met Jim. It was always clear that his love for his family that was his priority. Secondly was his wit and his humor. Our parting words always brought a smile and the desire to see him again. This world was a better place with Jim in it and I know his sudden departure left a void in a lot of hearts. My sincerest condolences to Lilly, Tara, Cheryl & Trevor as well as his most cherished grandchildren. Gonna miss that man.

To the extended Upton family. So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing, He was truly a gentleman, I first met Jim in 2001 at Suncor and developed a genuine working relationship and friendship with him. He was someone you could always count on and had time to listen no matter the topic. He always spoke of his family with a sense of pride. “Rest In Peace” Jim.

September, 1955, a lot of six year old children were lined up in Sauve School yard. My Mum was talking to Mrs Lessard and Mrs. Upton-that’s when I met my Pal Jimmy.
After high school we lost touch, but were friends forever. ( It’s a ‘Sur La Lac’ thing)
Recently, Jim and I talked a lot on the phone, about our childhood, about our kids, how lucky we were to have great wives and a ton of silliness…
Jim was a God loving man-
Bud, we will meet again!
See ya soon !
