Another angel has earned her wings as the family of Olga Isabel Valdez, 87, announce her sudden passing on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Olga comes from a large family in Guatemala being 1 of 7 children. Left to mourn her loss are her only son, Luis Valdez and her daughter-in-law, Paola Valdez; her grand-daughters: Adriana, Rebeca, Briana and Sofia; her sisters: Rebeca Eugenia Valdez and Celia Amparo Valdez-Archila; her brothers: Francisco Ricardo Valdez and Eudaldo Angel Valdez; she also leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who she loved very deeply.

Olga was predeceased by her parents, Francisco & Francisca Valdez; her brother, Jorge Valdes and her sister Josefa Valdez. All who she is now being reunited with in heaven.

Coming from such a large family and being such an adventurous soul that loved to travel, Olga always had someone to visit and share special moments with throughout her life, whether it be one of her siblings, granddaughters or friends.

She was a very outgoing and extroverted person who loved to cook and spend her time socializing with family and friends. Any chance she got to have a celebration she made sure to take the opportunity to enjoy it.

Arrangements have been made through Robert Anderson Funeral Services Inc. for cremation.

A date for the funeral service to celebrate Olga will be announced once confirmed.
