Roy Arthur Roberts Obituary

Roy Arthur Roberts, born on August 31, 1963, in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Roy was the beloved son of Enos James Roberts and was lovingly raised by his foster parents, Bramwell and Daisy Jefferies. He was a devoted father to Jeremy Quintal and Crystal Quintal. After the passing of their brother's father at a young age, Roy took Brandon Quintal under his wing with care and compassion. Roy was a proud poppy to his cherished grandchildren, Elysha Quintal and Zander Tatchell. Roy is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Wavey Hynes, Linda Roberts, Gary Roberts, Bonnie Hoddinott, Tracey Lowe, and foster siblings.

A skilled craftsman and proud member of the Local 222 Cement Mason Union, Roy earned respect as a revered Mason Master. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his passion for creating with his hands. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and was self-taught in crafting beautiful pipes, signs, and other items that became treasured gifts for family members. His creativity and skill were admired by all who knew him.

Roy had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, particularly Harley-Davidsons. Known for his "rough and tough biker" spirit, he was thrilled to finally acquire a motorcycle two years ago. True to form, he immediately began customizing it to reflect his unique style.

Beyond his hobbies and work, Roy found joy in spending time at his camper and being with family and friends. He was a devoted father and grandfather who made it a priority to be present for every important moment in the lives of those he held dear. His warmth and presence left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Roy’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May his legacy of love, craftsmanship, and adventure bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
