It is with extreme sadness that the family of Darwin Bates announces his passing at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre on August 3rd, 2019. Darwin is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Bates, his son Riley Houle, brother Byron Bates and his sister in law, Frances Bates. He also leaves to mourn and cherish his memory aunts Freda Bouchier, Anna Kreutzer, uncle Ron Kreutzer and numerous cousins Darwin was predeceased by his fathers, Jim Plews and Bert Bates, Grandparents Jack and Katy Plews, Fred and Mary Kreutzer and uncles Tex and Paul and aunts Sally and Veronica. Wake and visitation: Thursday, August 8th, 2019 from 5pm to 9pm at Fort McMurray First Nations Quonset. Funeral Service Friday, August 9th, 2019 at 11am St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Fort McMurray, with Father Augustine officiating.
