Obituary of Eileen McCracken

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother, Eileen McCracken on October 12, 2019. Born in Port Arthur, Ontario on January 18, 1954 to the late George and Doris Kahan. Mom graduated in 1973 from Lakehead University’s RN program. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years. During that time she continued her education obtaining a palliative certificate as well as her BSCN while working full time as the Manager of Home Care. Eileen survived by her children Ken (Lisa), Dan (Amanda), Melissa (Patrick) and her five grandchildren Robert, Steven, Jeffrey, Allie and McKenna. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Ken in February 2014. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Moms name to the Northern Lights Health Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2019 in the upstairs of The Royal Canadian Legion (9317 Huggard St, Fort McMurray, Alberta) at 1p.m.
