It is with great sadness that the family of Roderick "Rod" Mitchell Bird announce his passing at home on Saturday, March 9th, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. Rod was born and raised in Fort McMurray and is another loss of a great pioneer of our community.
In honour of Rod, there will be a Visitation & Funeral Mass held at the All Saints Anglican Church, with a Celebration of his Life to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. Please see below for details.
